Kata Archiving

Hello, for those that are interested I make or re-edit videos and turn them it into an archiving source, and would like help from you. If you are part of a TRADITIONAL style of Karate and have a particular kata down, then plz get the unedited version of it and send it to me UNLISTED and I shall feature your video on Karate Ark. Eventually, I'd like to have an inventory of every kata from every style of karate in my archive. Please help me achieve this. Thank you in advance for taking the time to read this and/or your consideration.

Sounds like a really good idea. Would all videos be accessible to the public?

Also by what is your definition of Traditional? As in Goju-Ryu, Shito-Ryu, Shotokan and Wado-Ryu only? Or every single style of karate under the sun?

Spot on as well. Also what would happen in terms of the work being properly credited?

I ask because there could be an issue down the road where people would take those videos to claim as their own work.

These videos will be archived on Youtube and Facebook. More so on Youtube bc its easier to list what style the particular kata is from and then sort them as such.

You may give your name, style of karate, title of dojo and so forth and I will be sure to add them to the credits at the end. I will do my best in editing in a way they cant be stolen but things like that with the internet are expected. The main purpose is more so to have a Library of all the Katas from all styles for reference and research. So yes all videos will be for public use unless you instruct it to be unlisted only for a specific audience (ex for Forum use)

What about styles that consider themselves to be traditional, but aren't on your list? The style I've been involved in for 51 years is a traditional Okinawan style, Shindokan Saitou-ryu, per it's founder!

I also wonder what JR 137 is wondering...

yeah its just as simple as making a new bracket and all the videos for that style could still be listed. Already check the lineage and all that so you're in the green.

And thank you for the support, I've always wanted to do something like this but I will need everyones help in order to achieve this.
