kchenault Posted August 25, 2004 Posted August 25, 2004 Static stretching has always been a problem for me. I can kick over my head when warmed up, but I have achieved this by dynamic stretching. Back in '95, I was stretching in class and something in my left hip just gave. I went from 12 inches above the floor to about 3 inches above the floor in side splits. Hurt like the dickens, and I have had hip issues since. Dynamic stretching is great for increasing cold flexibility. Check out the Health and Fitness section here on KF.
