Since there is no easy way to do it I have decided to squeeze a workout into my schedule each day. I plan to do 3 mile run for warm up and then do either upper or lower body, i.e upper today, lower tomorrow alternating like that. Does this sound okay. When doing reps is it a good idea to take a medium weight and then do reps till you cant.

I need to get bigger (Im 6ft but only 135lb) and help increase my endurance. any advice is greatly appreciated.

to get bigger you have to lift heavy.

your workout plan needs alot of improvement. only do a couple of different muscles each time. as far as reps are concerned, lifting heavy will give you the size you want. (my pecs went up 4 inches in just 6 weeks). i cant think of a good way to describe a good workout so i'll just tell you mine and you can see the basics.

Mon

Chest, Triceps

Wed.

Back, Biceps, Shoulders

Fri.

Legs, Abs

Thats what works good for me. I'd recommend finding a trainer to help you get started properly.

With that much distance running you are not going to get big.

You burn to much of the muscle you are building that way. If you are going to run do like only a mile or half mile up hill.

Will, you need to be a little more specific on your goals so that the advice you get fits your situation. Here are a few generic tips.

1. EAT

2. Running is great for endurance.

3. Breaking up strength training over a few days can be beneficial.

4. Always use proper technique to get the most out of each exercise.

5. Get plenty of rest.

You may want to repost your age, how much you weight you want to gain, your strength goals, etc. As far as weights/reps goes my advice is to seek out someone who knows what they are doing to help you get started. You can also do a search on this forum to get more ideas. Good luck.

I had to lose my mind to come to my senses.
