monkeygirl Posted November 1, 2002 Posted November 1, 2002 Another thing to remember.....BREATHE! If you're holding your breath during your workout, you're holding up your cardiovascular system and depriving your muscles of crucial oxygen. It seems so simple yet so many forget... Take your time and let it come naturally. Only you can really know your body and the way you feel. There is a difference between being out of shape and having something physically wrong with you. Only you can decide whether or not this is just something you have to work at, or something you need to seek medical help for. ...hope I didn't freak you out too much there 1st dan & Asst. Jack Posted November 1, 2002 Posted November 1, 2002 Ven - relax. Its quite possible this other guy was more of a natural fighter than you, and with so little training under either of your belts, it really is nothing to get frustrated over. You've only been training a few weeks, relax and enjoy it. Eat properly, breathe, continue practicing and your endurance levels should get sorted out. Red J Posted November 3, 2002 Posted November 3, 2002 Ven, hang in there. It takes time... I had to lose my mind to come to my senses.

Let some time pass and after 2-3 months we'll discuss Try to do your best, learn to see your faults and try to improve everytime. Eat well, train well and it will be OK. Good luck. PS To feel more confident. I was so tired when I started karate, that I couldn't even finish the class Now I have days when I train in a self defence class and immediately I get into karate training. After all this program I feel so fresh as if I just woke up Everything gets better. Just wish it this way World Shotokan Karate
