OneAndOnly
there is a chinese version called Kung Fu Quest. But in this version it's different hosts each episode (although some come back, and two are karate black belts) and they go around china learning lesser known styles of gong fu, in the most traditional and serious way possible. And with a lot less talking to the camera that you guys dont like. it's also survived for 3 seasons although i have not been able to find the third one with english subtitles
Spodo Komodo
So.. we basically want a So You Think You Can Mawashi Geri? Martial Artist Idol? Britain's Got Kime? Ninja Warrior has been massively popular here in the UK which is basically a parkour/free running/obstacle course type show. I could imagine a 36 Chambers of Shaolin type show where martial artists have to pass feats of agility, strength and breaking a lot of roof tiles (people expect that kind of guff). Probably wouldn't bother with the red hot brazier at the end though.Kung Fu Quest sounds great, time for a letter to Channel 4...

IcemanSK
I've gone back & watched both Fight Quest & Human Weapon on Youtube. As similar as both shows are, I thought Fight Quest was done better. As similar as both shows are, I thought Fight Quest was done better.I have to agree. I like the way fight quest was done better.I liked the fact that both guys on Fight Quest had some MA training. The one guy on Human Weapon was an MMA fighter, but the other was a football player with zero experience. While he was an athlete & very flexible for a big guy, he struggled with fluid movements of an MAist. In fact, both Jason Chambers of Human Weapon & Jimmy Smith of Fight Quest (now commentator for Belator) fought one another in MMA. Smith won by submission. Being a good fighter is One thing. Alan Armstrong
"Fight Quest" interesting and educational on the different martial arts around the world; if anything is learned it must be "Don't drink the local water my friend"
