I sincerely believe that of all of the ranks, White Belt is the most important rank of them all. Why? Without White Belt, the other ranks can't exist!!

We were talking about coloured belts and the need for them (and ultimately black belt)?

I suggested that they weren't important, to which he replied - "people with black belts usually say that".

Haha, that's some #truth right there! Easy for someone at the top to look back fondly on the hard times behind them.

Of course, it a pretty hard sell for a white belt to say "White belt is the most important belt!"
