neoravencroft
Hi guys, I've been sparring lately and I'm trying to look around for elbow and knee pads for that sort of environment, but can't find any. Does anybody know any stores or websites where I can find this equipment? "When I have listened to my mistakes, I have grown." ~Bruce Lee
sensei8
Century MA Supply has a nice selections to choose from. Trace has some nice pads as well too; I used them for over 12 years when I was reaching the end of my tournament day. Yet, I still use Trace, even today when I'm on the floor!!Good luck in your search!! **Proof is on the floor!!!

neoravencroft
I found some elbow pads from Century that would work well enough, but I couldn't find anything from Trace. In fact, I googled Trace and nothing turned up. Do you happen to have a link to their website? sensei8
I get my Trace pads from Wal-Mart, but not all Wal-Marts carry them. Here's their link...http://www.adamsusa.com/#!Pick any of the sports, then click on "Protective Pads", and you'll see many variations and prices. Very affordable, and durable!! **Proof is on the floor!!!
Nidan Melbourne
Which of your MAs require the Elbow and Knee Pads? Because Karate you wouldn't use them. Otherwise good luck in your search
sensei8
Which of your MAs require the Elbow and Knee Pads? Because Karate you wouldn't use them. Otherwise good luck in your searchI use them, especially in my age, and I'm in Karate. Habit started when I began learning our brand of grappling, in which, years later, I still don them; kind of like a security blanket. For the longest, our Hombu had NO mats at all; bare floor. I know, some of you here will rib me to no end, but that's cool because it's true...habits are hard to die. **Proof is on the floor!!!

But we only ever did a little bit of grappling on them because of it. But i know throws and takedowns hurt like a female dog (as a substitution for the that 1 b word i'd rather not use). But totally understandable for your age.
neoravencroft
Which of your MAs require the Elbow and Knee Pads? Because Karate you wouldn't use them. Otherwise good luck in your searchWe use them in our sparring sessions. The sensei at the dojo encourages techniques from different styles that their students have learned in their career in MA. Some Wing Chun and JKD techniques use elbow strikes, but the knee pads are for the little San Dou I know.
