three60roundhouse Posted October 8, 2002 Posted October 8, 2002 How many calories do you burn running one mile in about 10 minutes at a slight incline? How about 2 miles in 20 minutes? And out of curiosity, since I pigged out in pizza tonignt, about how many calories would you guess are in three ( ) slices of Domino's super greasy pizza? 1st dan Tae Kwon DoYellow Belt Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu16 Years OldGirls kick butt!
ckdstudent Posted October 8, 2002 Posted October 8, 2002 Depends. How much do you weigh, what's your normal heart rate, what's your heart rate as you run, how fast are you running, there's enough factors mixed in it'll be hell to work out. Since I can quite happily eat a Domino's large pizza on my own (admittedly only while drunk, we usually get one each) and not suffer from it I'd have to say that you don't need to worry. Of course it does depend a lot on your bodytype. ---------Pil SungJimmy B
three60roundhouse Posted October 8, 2002 Author Posted October 8, 2002 I am 5'5 and a half (close to 5'6) weigh 123-125 range, how do I calculate normal/workout heart rate? I am running 6.1-6.3 miles per hour for 20-25 minutes, or 5.5 miles per hour for 30 minutes. I do cardio 3-4 times a week at 5 am before school, and I usually eat extremely well for a kid (cereal with 2% milk for breakfast, fruit for snack, celery and peanut butter and some granola or something for lunch, sunflower seeds as a snack, small chicken breast and a salad for dinner, lots of water, maybe a glass of milk during the day). I train in BJJ 2-3 times a week, tae kwon do 1-2 times a week. 1st dan Tae Kwon DoYellow Belt Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu16 Years OldGirls kick butt!
KickChick Posted October 8, 2002 Posted October 8, 2002 ... as far as the calorie content of those slices of pizza .... close to 600 calories if I'm reading this table correctly http://www.3fatchicks.com/fast-food/restaurants/cat_dominos.php and its regular cheese pizza. Yes, ckdstudent is correct.... there is alot of facotrs involved as far as your particular metabolism goes .... how effectively you personally burn up those calories. For calculating your exercise heart rate zone http://www.virtualfitnesstrainer.com/cooltools/What_is_Your_Exercising_Heart_Rate_Zone.htm You seem pretty fit to me 360!
