I have been reading " Essential Karate " By Mas Oyama .. it's such an amazing book.

It starts by how to do a punch through everything till how to deal with street situations (illustrated with pics).

I would recommend this book to everyone interested in Kyokushin Karate.

Now, it's time to get a new book ... time to decide what's next :brow:

Here's a great place to look for your next book! I would suggest that you pick up a history book. Start with a book that focuses on the history of Kyokushin, and then pick up a book that focuses on all of Japanese karate. Regardless of your style, knowing the history of other styles can help you to understand yours a lot more.

Martial arts training is 30% classroom training, 70% solo training.

You're right; it's an amazing book cover to cover. A must, imho, to any MAists library.

If I was a Kyokushin practitioner, this book would be the Kyokushin bible for me.

"This is Karate" and "Advanced Karate" by Mas Oyama are both amazing too. Great reference materials, though you might struggle to get them for less than a few hundred dollars each nowadays.

Mine are some of my most prized books, and the only books I don't lend out to people (one has had the inner pages signed by Sosai! :) ).
