I was trying to search online and couldn't find what I was looking for. I started lifting weights a while back made major result then a couple months ago I started this new pushups workout which I will explain below and had really nice results. I do 1 set of pushups everyday and add 1 a day. I wanted to get a weight vest to increase the strength of my body instead of the useless endurance you get from 50+ Pushups. I have been looking at all different kinds but the one I have decided on is a 40 lb adjustable one.

what I wanted to know is the rep difference that holding a weight vest on your body holds. I got to 30 fast pushups but I want to know with weight what will be the difference because when I can do it 20 times with a weight im going to upgrade but want to know the difference

Would it be like 30 pushups

12 lbs.-25

18 lbs.-22

25 lbs. 15

30 lbs.-9

40 lbs.-3

or is there any calculator you could use to figure it out...?

By the way the program I did which I will change to every 2 days is

Perform your full amount of reps for pushups amount--

Perform 70% of that amount every morning right when you wake up by your bed for 6 days. Take a day off

The next day add one so that everyday you add one to your 1 set except for your day off every 6 day. Repeat for 3 months to see major results.

You could probably calculate something out, but I don't know how necessary it would be. It would vary per person, I think, and the way the vest distributes the weight might make a difference, too.

What you could do is a controlled experiment with yourself to find out. Take a day to max out your pushups, then take a week off. The next week, add some weight to the vest, max out your reps, compare the totals, and figure some equation to see what you get. I'm not mathematician, so I can't make the equation for you, but I know there are some smart people here that might be able to. See how that works for you.
