Nidan Melbourne Posted December 16, 2013 Posted December 16, 2013 Mine are nice and simple for next year (as usual i'm using the KISS Principle - Keep It Simple Stupid)1. compete in 4 major tournaments 2. attend my first karate camp 3. Propose to my girlfriend 4. be awesome
gamble759 Posted December 16, 2013 Posted December 16, 2013 My 2014 goals will be to compete at a big tournament in Las Vegas in August (and do my personal best). I want to learn how to do an aerial. Ive been really trying to improve my flexibility and another one of my main goals is to be able to touch the top of my head to my toe in a straddle.
bushido_man96 Posted December 16, 2013 Posted December 16, 2013 4. be awesomeThat one would be fairly subjective, wouldn't it? But, a solid goal, nonetheless. On a serious note, good luck to you and your future fiance. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com

mazzybear Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 My goals for 2014 would have to be:1. Pass my grading for 4th and hopefully 3rd Kyu (toward the end of the year) with no lower than a Pass B.2. Improve my strength and flexability.3. Enter as many competitions as I can and get placed as much as possible. 4. Eat clean, train hard. All in all, I guess my aim is just to enjoy my martial arts journey as much as I have this year. Be water, my friend.
sensei8 Posted December 20, 2013 Posted December 20, 2013 (edited) Well, after having given it some thought, my 2014 resolutions will be:Professionally, they'll be the same as they were in 2013, but with more emphasis on reaching a more amicable agreement on finalizing said items that still remain on the table for conclusion. We'll see!!Personally, I'm considering many things, but nothing concrete worth in listing as my 2014 resolutions, for the the moment. EDITS: Spelling and additional thoughts reached at a later time. Edited December 26, 2013 by sensei8 **Proof is on the floor!!!

quinteros1963 Posted December 22, 2013 Posted December 22, 2013 1. Stay healthy2. Stay consistent 3. Compete in some(win a few) tournaments The past is no more; the future is yet to come. Nothing exist except for the here and now. Our grand business is not to see what lies dimly at a distance, but to do what's clearly is clearly at hand...Lets continue to train!
veee Posted December 22, 2013 Posted December 22, 2013 2014 goal - train hard all the time - found myself "coasting" a few times during 2013. Was a very busy year professionally but I can't let that interfere with my training.
Lupin1 Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 1. Participate in some kind of regular exercise outside of martial arts.2. Go back and work on my kung fu kata, which I've totally let fall by the wayside recently.3. Continue looking more at the academic side of martial arts-- history, theory, etc.4. Find some way to spar more regularly.5. As always-- Grok on.
