Safroot Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 Safroot, the schedule you posted in a different thread is quite good for someone who is working and has kids! I'm in the same boat - - so I have no excuse not to get up to your level. I'm going to go back and take another look at your routine, and see if I can fit in what you do - at least on the days I'm not in the dojo. You have inspired me!First of all, it's an honor to inspire you You can do it & even more, I am sure of that the advice that I got from my Sensei is not to exercise at home after the class as muscles need some time to recover.keep me updated and let me know how did you go, we can even update each other with the counts increase "The Martial Arts begin with a point and end in a circle." yamesu Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 For me its basically:MON - Kyokushin classes.TUE - Endurance/Strength Circuits.WED - Kyokushin classes.THUR - Endurance/Strength Circuits.FRI - Kyokushin classes.SAT - Endurance/Strength Circuits.SUN - REST DAY.That's sound really good but how can you do all this if you are working and have kids .... it's bit impossible for me Osu!I don't have kids, but i do work long hours. Most classes are evening schedules so I can get them in after work. Sometimes that means I don't get home until 11.00pm, but that the decision I have made "We did not inherit this earth from our parents. We are borrowing it from our children."
brickshooter Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 I've used two types of endurance training in the past. The first is "wind sprints" - For every 300 yards, sprint 50 yards. Repeat for 10 times. This builds lung endurance. The second is "endurance weight training" - lift at 30% your max as many reps as possible without stopping. There is no 2nd or 3rd set. Do it all in 1 set. This builds muscle endurance. You will need at least 2 days of rest in between. Hope this helps. Unsure what the effect is in a short 30 days.
