Nidan Melbourne Posted July 29, 2014 Posted July 29, 2014 Relax and enjoy yourself. How did you go in the end? Remember even if you lost you will learn from it. For Kumite @ tournaments I always recommend to my students that you should not only just focus on attacking, but also have a good idea of defense and how to avoid their attacks. Kata is always a hard one to be great at, even I am not great at it at tournaments. Because of all the nerves that can build up during it.
kinetickick Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 In most cases, in the beginner levels, activity and aggression go a long way. Many beginners will often just stand there. Be active. It definitely can not hurt. http://karatetupelo.com/https://www.facebook.com/pages/Kinetic-Kick/129082970612393
