andym Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 As too grades Seiunchin Kata covers with us, 4th kyu (purple belt in our Dojo), just the Kata. 3rd Kyu (first level of brown belt) the Kata and Bunkai. 2nd Kyu of brown belt , the same to mature the student. Obviously this only relates to Seiunchin part with in the grading, which covers many areas. If you believe in an ideal. You don't own it ; it owns you.

Nidan Melbourne Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 at my school (I study Goju also) seeiunchin is for brown belt, 1st Brown and Shodan-Ho going for Shodan. The bunkai for it for us is required for when we grade for nidan
