Hey guys, I've just started muay thai again for a month, i already took muay thai for a year before, but took a year break of almost no exercise and gained 10-15 pounds, I've been going to classes everyday, and I run occasionally around 3 times a week. Im 5'10 170 pounds. I'm not in bad shape, just a little extra meat here and their, I hit hard, but I need to lose the weight in order for speed and endurance. Anyone have any good ways to lose weight for fighting? For Example, what and how should I eat, what types of exercises. Any Info would help me alot. Thanks.

Hi Shay ... I see this is your first post here on KF .. Welcome!

First of all, although you are involved in MT, I moved your post to H & F forum, only because I think that you will find most of the answers to you post here.

Go through the pages here and you will find that similar members here have been in your "physical" position .... and have asked how to drop those 10-15 lbs. You'll find some asnswers here.

To avoid reiterating on and on .... check out the posts in the Health & Fitness Forum or do a Search on "diet" "losing weight" in the H & F forum ONLY ... and you will turn up lots of results.

Hey,

I used to be in wrestling, and I can tell you the smart thing to do: Run a lot, exercise for at the very least 40 minutes, and eat right. Not starve yourself, but eat right-the diet sites KickChick was talkin bout. Good luck.

Don't lift weights that will add muscle which you can loose fast. Run a lot more and drink water. Loosing 10-15lbs is not really that hard it can be done in a a few weeks. I would say loose 15 then start lifting again and try and put 5 back on. That way you won't feel weak....

(General George S. Patton Jr.) "It's the unconquerable soul of man, and not the nature of the weapon he uses, that ensures victory."

Damn!, I would love to lose 10-15 in a few weeks, I don't think it's that easy, it would be cool if you guys could give me examples of how i should eat daily, and what diet site?
