How are your eating habits?

Generally, fat loss is a combination of good, consistent dieting and making sure you are expending more calories than you take in. Sometimes people only think they are burning more calories than they consume.

There is no way to spot lose fat, but having some underlying muscle mass in a particular area does help the appearance in most cases.

What does your workout look like at the gym? What does your cardio look like?

What a lot of people fail to realize with a workout program is that it should be progressive. In much the same way as a martial art. You start with basics, and then you slowly add more and more.

So if you're doing a workout at home, start writing down what you're doing. If you are doing 3 sets of 20 pushups one workout, try to add 1 rep every workout. So instead of 3 sets of 20 you're now doing 3x21, then 3x22, then 3x23, etc.

Then you can start adding sets, decreasing rest times, super setting with bodyweight squats, etc.

The point is to keep some type of SMALL progression in there to keep getting better and better.

The same goes for running. There isn't much that beats running for weight loss. Start with a light jog at 5 minutes. Do that 2-3 times a week. Next week add 30 seconds or 1 minute. If you feel really good one day run longer. Just have a set amount of time to run and add to it so you are always getting a little better each time.

Don't think about these things in short-term. Think about where you want to be a year from now. Or two years. And think about the small goals you can accomplish on your way to help that long term goal.

If you add 1 minute a week to your run, at the end of a year you're running an extra 48 minutes! That's a LONG run, lol.

Also, use a common sense diet. If it used to be alive(animal or plant) then it is probably okay and healthier than the alternatives. Meats, especially lean meat like poultry and fish, fruits and vegetables(fresh), and whole grains.

Great replys so far.

All I can add, is that every persons body responds diferrently.

If you have had fat deposits for a while they can be stubborn to get rid of - but dont give up! They will go.

s far as fat loss - I have had great success with a high fat, high protein and low carb diet. Basically less than 100g carbs per day for 5 days, and then go wild and binge for a single day, then repeat the cycle.

What this does is it tends to kick the body into using triglycerides for energy instead of glycogen.

What does that mean?

It means that your body wants to use fat for energy instead of carbohydrates.

Remember, you cannot spot target fat loss, so dont give up if you see more definition in your arms before your chest. Just keep it p and eventually it will go.

Also - you need testosterone to build muscle. As a man, this can mean getting the right building blocks for your body. I avoid eating any soy products (they contain phyto-estrogen), and eat products hgh in testosterone building blocks (or pure testosterone) like wild salmon.

Hope this helps.

I'm in the same boat as you (moobs wise anyway) , 20 week ago i started the path to make them vanish. First what i learned from my experience (lost 42 pound in 20 weeks so far) is that weight lost is 80 % diet and 20 % exercise.

Calorie counting is the key for me. I use Myfitnesspall to calculate my calories intake per day and i keep it under my maintenance level. You need to create a defecit ethere way you want (exercise or diet) .

As for the moobs it could also be Gynecomastia. Do some research on it.

A lot of people go straight for the protein shakes but if you use them it will take longer to burn off the fat stores in your body.

Eat a load of veg/salads/Stirfrys this will fill you up the first couple of weeks ,raw carrots are a good nibble and your normal amount of protein .

All the raw veg/salads will kickstart your metabolism.

Watch the weight fall off then supplement your protein anyway you want to start building muscle !

Hey, I completely agree with the diet advice. It's the number one important part. But exercising helps too! The two methods that I put all my faith into for fat loss is circuit training and hill sprints. For circuit training, 3-5 nonstop rounds of a few different exercises that work your whole body for 10-20 reps each exercise. As for hill sprints, just find a steep hill that isn't too big and sprint up as fast as you can. Your recovery should only be the jog back down. Do that a few times than rest for 2 minutes at the bottom of the hill, and do it again. I hope this helped'
