Just recently I tried an 8 week Muay Thai course, and I totally loved it and would like to more, but the only gym in my area offers courses at the same time as my karate courses. Lupin1 Posted December 6, 2012 Share Posted December 6, 2012 How many nights a week do they offer classes? Could you do a few nights of Muay Thai and a few of karate? Or if you've been doing karate for years and are advanced enough, you may be able to do mostly Muay Thai for awhile and train on your own for karate and just stop by your karate club every few weeks to keep it fresh. Unfortunately no-one can really tell you want to do - some tough decisions to make! I recommend what DWx say's. alternate weeks would allow a better focus on the training and prevent confusion. It could also be lessened if you are a higher rank. Higher ranks can probably squeak by on one forms class per week, and maybe on the technical sessions, as well, depending on how well you think you are doing. Nidan Melbourne Posted March 27, 2014 Share Posted March 27, 2014 If you train multiple times a week in karate and the muay thai class is run on the same days, then as said previously by others you can do one day at karate and then the other at Muay Thai.
