Willard814 Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 I have been training in Shotokan Karate for almost two years now and over the last six months I have noticed a BO kind of smelly odor coming from my crotch area. No matter how many times I shower the smell always comes back. I don't have any itching what so ever or any rashes or skin irritation. Does anyone know what is happening? I even trimmed my pubic hair down to a minimal level (not bald) to help combat the problem but nothing seems to help. There is no superior style only different levels...Huo Yianjia

bushido_man96 Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 Go see a doctor. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
yamesu Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 Body Odour is caused by bacteria on the skin - its a natural and unavoidable thing. If a new or more pungent odour has popped up recently, it could be due to any number of issues from having someone elses sweat contact you in training, not washing bedsheets often, new girlfriends/boyfriends etc etc... Soap and water will not kill most bacteria, so simply showering may not do the trick. But seriously, I agree with Bushido - see a doctor. Even if members here are qualified to give medical advice, its near impossible to accurately diagnose an issue through a computer screen. "We did not inherit this earth from our parents.
