djrodders Posted March 13, 2012 Share Posted March 13, 2012 I have started back training after 11 years and i am struggling stretching for kicks ... desperate for help .. any suggestion welcome .I have been thinking of buying an expensive leg stretcher is this the way forward. Hold each one for 12-15 seconds (NO BOUNCING) and breathe down to your core to help you relax. Hope this helps get you started! It is helpful to warm up and you can do this by simply walking a bit, taking a hot bath or some exercise that heats up the body. Take it slow, you'll get there if you do so and are disciplined. JusticeZero Posted March 13, 2012 Share Posted March 13, 2012 They're just a way to do the stretches.Do gentle kick-stretching in the mornings and before class. Don't do static stretches before class. Do static stretches after class/exercise. Stretch every day and the flexibility will come fast. Might be because different people define flexibility a bit differently, depending on their needs, which vary.What types and directions of flexibility are you looking for, and what exercises are you using so far?
