MRCP II MADE EASY is a brilliant book which I chanced at the dojo authoured by a Harvard trained Physician who is also a Member of the Royal College of Physicians London (MRCP ). He described many martial arts injury and the need of people from Veneto to undergo cardiological examination before contact sport because of a genetic heart problem called Right Ventricular Arrythmogenic dysplasia, Commotio Cordis ( which is sudden death when the heart is punchched with the palm and how to treat this with an AED and CPR ) as well as the fracture of metacarpals prior to defensive gear and how we lose salt and water as well as potassium after a kata but replace it only with water as dangerous. The novel is a litany ( of case histories ) intertwined with medical facts and written in the style of Critchton, Robin Cook and Frank Herbert. My husband who is a karate Instructor and 2 kids love the book as each tale is like a series of House MD. He was the Physician for the Tae Kwon Do team and has extensive experience of martial arts and it's philosophy.
