I've been looking at the Tricks Tutorials website for some ideas on stretching. Are the dynamic stretches meant to be done quickly with force, similar to a kick? My goal is to improve the height of side kicks mostly. Are there any other stretches or tricks to improve side kicking specifically? Thank you for your responses!

They need to be controlled, not super slow but not snapped out like a full power kick either. When you go too fast it becomes more like ballistic stretching which can actually cause injury.

Since you're using the tricks tutorials site anyway, the videos dont seem to work, but type Jujimufu dynamic stretches into youtube and you should get a playlist of videos of him demoing all the stretches he talks about on the site with a few reps of each one.
