I heard that rope training is very good for an overall workout, but I can't really find much information on it online. Anyone willing to share the benefits of rope training and what variations of rope training are there?

I'd rather lose a 100 times in practice than 1 time in a combat situation.

What type of rope? Jumping rope is great cardiovascular exercise, running with rope attached to tires is good for explosive leg strength, climbing rope is good for upper body strength and ninjas sneaking into castles.....so yeah, I guess you can do a lot with a rope!

Well....... You get a couple ropes, grab an end with each hand and swing either up-down, side-side or in circles. Works the deltoid group and not much else. Might tie the loose ends to something to reduce the flailing ;-)
