Lupin1 Posted March 3, 2010 Posted March 3, 2010 My instructor gave me the go-ahead tonight to start wearing my old belt. And he's going to let me wear my actual old belt, which was an advanced yellow belt which they don't even give out anymore (one of these things: http://www.karatedepot.com/un-be-30.html). So I guess I'm a 6th kyu again, although he was sure to mention it doesn't matter what color belt I wear, I'm still a beginner (and I'm sure I'll hear that again and again).

WireFrame Posted March 3, 2010 Posted March 3, 2010 Congrats Lupin, keep up the good work and surpass your old grade.
GeoGiant Posted March 3, 2010 Posted March 3, 2010 Congrats. No matter how fast or slow you go, just keep moving forward .
Blade96 Posted March 3, 2010 Posted March 3, 2010 I knew you would, Lupin. Some people regard discipline as a chore. For me it is a kind of order that sets me free to fly.You don't have to blow out someone else's candle in order to let your own flame shine.

Lupin1 Posted March 10, 2010 Author Posted March 10, 2010 Yay! Tonight's my first class wearing my (kinda) new belt! Sure, I'm still the lowest in the class, so it doesn't really matter, but still! Squee!
