March 3, 201016 yr My instructor gave me the go-ahead tonight to start wearing my old belt. And he's going to let me wear my actual old belt, which was an advanced yellow belt which they don't even give out anymore (one of these things: http://www.karatedepot.com/un-be-30.html). So I guess I'm a 6th kyu again, although he was sure to mention it doesn't matter what color belt I wear, I'm still a beginner (and I'm sure I'll hear that again and again).
March 3, 201016 yr I knew you would, Lupin. Some people regard discipline as a chore. For me it is a kind of order that sets me free to fly.You don't have to blow out someone else's candle in order to let your own flame shine.

March 10, 201016 yr Author Yay! Tonight's my first class wearing my (kinda) new belt! Sure, I'm still the lowest in the class, so it doesn't really matter, but still! Squee!
