tufrthanu Posted November 15, 2009 Posted November 15, 2009 Interesting Jay but I hadn't even thought of that. Some food perhaps being higher in certain nutritions but for certain groups of people perhaps not as easily digestible and therefore not so good? I read recently that this really high caloric diets that superatheletes like michael phelps use really arent that good for a normal person. They have metabolisms in like the top 2% or something like that and even if a normal person works out as much as they do your body won't handle it. Long Live the Fighters!

DWx Posted November 15, 2009 Posted November 15, 2009 You telling me none of you have eaten cake mix before? Or let your kids eat it? Loads of food has raw egg in it; egg-nog, some mousses, cheesecake.. I think people can become too over zealous with keeping themselves away from bacteria nowadays. You have to be exposed to some otherwise you lose all your immunity. Just use the eggs fresh and most likely you won't have a problem. In any case, aren't most chickens nowadays vaccinated against salmonella?Anyway back to the original topic, I had heard that raw eggs proteins aren't as easily digested and it looks like your second link confirms that RichardZ. Really don't know why people want to consume them raw. "Everything has its beauty, but not everyone sees it." ~ Confucius
Jay Posted November 15, 2009 Posted November 15, 2009 Yea honestly your much better cooking them. Then you don't have to eat as many. I think body builders just do it for convenience its easier to down 4 raw eggs than cook 2. As discusting as that sounds.Get yourself some protein powder and then you don't need to eat eggs like me! Great added to smoothies throw in and blend. The key to everything is continuity achieved by discipline.
bushido_man96 Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 You telling me none of you have eaten cake mix before? Or let your kids eat it?Aww, yes!! Raw cookie dough! Its the best. Now, if I combine that with my post-workout chocolate milk, I'll be sitting in high cotton! Awesome... Ok, maybe no one should take nutritional advise from me... https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
