I've seen a few breaking videos here and there, but I've never seen Sparks come out on contact.

Just put a little flint between the bricks. You get sparks.

It could have been flint. It could have been friction between the blocks.

I've seen that done before with flint, match heads, etc. Just simple flashy hollywood stuff.
