fightguy Posted July 14, 2002 Posted July 14, 2002 I havent done martial arts a lot just muay thai for a couple of months, but I recently got in a fight with a local amatuer boxer. He is 16 (same age as me) but a lot taller and labelled as "the next big thing" in the local press. He went for a big right cross which I instinctively grabbed followed by a knee to the stomach. I then did a weird headbutt that hit his jaw in an upward motion. I was really surprised that I beat a boxer like him. Was it probably a fluke?
Eye of the Tiger Posted July 14, 2002 Posted July 14, 2002 No. Although it depends on the Martial Artist not the art, boxing cant really do much to a Muay Thai fighter considering their conditioning and the fact you can use all parts of your body, and he can only use his fists, and also you are similar strenghs and age.
Bon Posted July 14, 2002 Posted July 14, 2002 Gimme more details! Was there blood pouring out ? Was he left laying on the ground ? =p It takes sacrifice to be the best. There are always two choices, two paths to take. One is easy. And its only reward is that it's easy.
fightguy Posted July 14, 2002 Author Posted July 14, 2002 He was left on the ground. He looked pretty ****ed, but I dont see myself as a very good fighter.
