moobrack Posted August 10, 2001 Posted August 10, 2001 Hello. What do you think you could achieve through pushing yourself and testing your utmost limits everytime you train. Please let me know your insights on the matter. Thanx _________________ esteem thy precious time in training for the unexpected! Angus Posted August 10, 2001 Posted August 10, 2001 Nearly kill myself? A coma. There's really no point to training that hard cos it does more damage than good... Angus Courage is resistance to fear, mastery of fear, not absence of fear.
moobrack Posted August 11, 2001 Author Posted August 11, 2001 Thankyou for the insight Angus.I'll remember that for the future. Angus Posted August 11, 2001 Posted August 11, 2001 Heh, u shouldn't have editted the post, cos now my reply looks silly... ahh well... Pushing youself to the limits is not something that should be done every day - cos then it may wear u down and actually make you weaker - much like having a burnout phase like i'm going thru at the moment. No doubt my health is gonna be worse off in a week cos i'm gonna have to take that long off training. Angus Courage is resistance to fear, mastery of fear, not absence of fear.
moobrack Posted August 11, 2001 Author Posted August 11, 2001 Sorry. Won't happen again. [Edited by Admin: No images allowed in signature, please take the image out via your Edit Profile page. Karateka Posted August 12, 2001 Posted August 12, 2001 It is not how hard physically you train, it is if you mentally train yourself for anything. If you can imprint it into your body and your mind and quite frankly embed it into your self, then you walk away with something. moobrack Posted August 12, 2001 Author Posted August 12, 2001 I thnk that both physical and mental training are just as important as eachother. If you are prepared mentally and not physically you are dead but if you are prepared physically and not mentally you will be very lucky to walk away Anthony Bullock1st Dan Black Belt - Shotokan Karate5th Kyu Yellow Belt - Aiki-Jutsuhttps://www.universaldojo.com Coming Soon
MuayTB1 Posted August 12, 2001 Posted August 12, 2001 He said limit, not kill you self. Limit is how much you can take and if you could achive that every day, you can be ufc fighing champion. It is extremly hard to do that and you need real good displine. "Don't think!! Feel..." -Bruce Leehttps://www.muaythaiboxing.friendpages.comThis site is dumb but I made it so it is good.
Angus Posted August 13, 2001 Posted August 13, 2001 Yeah, he changed the post Bob, in the original he said almost kill urself... that's what made me look silly. Angus Courage is resistance to fear, mastery of fear, not absence of fear.
moobrack Posted August 13, 2001 Author Posted August 13, 2001 Once again I apologise and I swear it won't happen again. I don't think its discipline you need,It's just pure will to better yourself.
