Don Gwinn Posted July 13, 2002 Posted July 13, 2002 8th Grade history, English and computer teacher. I've coached basketball, baseball and scholastic bowl. I also do some freelance writing on the side, but truth be told, I'm lucky to make a profit for the year at this point. It's picking up, but it's not a living. I also make knives on the side as a hobby. I don't have the skills yet to make a living at it, but getting better. I have a backlog of orders for the first time now. One day I'd like to make my living totally from writing and metalsmithing. Then I'll never have to hold a real job again. As Heinlein said about writing as a career, the money is uneven but ". . . . it beats working for a living." ____________________________________* Ignorant Taekwondo beginner.http://www.thefiringline.com
Bon Posted July 14, 2002 Posted July 14, 2002 I'm in my last year of school, I do 7 subjects, standard english, business studies, information processes & technology, advanced mathematics, extension mathematics, physics, software design & development. I like Math, Physics and Software Design & Development. I can't believe you people who don't like math! =p It takes sacrifice to be the best. There are always two choices, two paths to take. One is easy. And its only reward is that it's easy.
G95champ Posted July 14, 2002 Posted July 14, 2002 Math is one of those things that people love it or hate it. I personally hate it. But I still learn how to do it because you have to make it in the world today. Much like kata to Martial Arts. LOL....... Some say why learn math when I got a calculator. Thanks for making my point for me..... _________________ (General George S. Patton Jr.) "It's the unconquerable soul of man, and not the nature of the weapon he uses, that ensures victory." After 2 years at college I am going to join the Royal Marines Commandos as an officer. I will spend at least 10 years in there and probobly go into one of the special forces. When I come out I'l start my own dojo up, and be a motivational speaker or just write a book.
