I just got off "taking that week off" and it does help you reorganize your "thoughts" ... priorities and such. I missed my training so much that I dove in with much more vigor than usual when I returned to class. Our school has just undergone a major change in remodeling the dojo, change in schedule (times & days).... there is now an all Black Belt class which is far more challenging to me now. Change is good ... not many people like it, but I found it has profound affects on my psyche. Maybe you need some too!
SaiFightsMS Posted July 23, 2002 Author Posted July 23, 2002 Got some news today my blood work came back and my valproic acid level was too low. That happened before and after the depakote was increased my brain rediscovered the gears above 2nd. So in a week or so I should be more mentally active. Levels drop slowly so it is kind of hard to catch them until they are so low as to affect function. Does anyone else have trouble with chemical levels inside of their body affecting function.
BlueDragon1981 Posted July 23, 2002 Posted July 23, 2002 I usually meditate when I get to bummed out. That helps calm things down. Then I work out a bit and read a book. Looking at my kids and playing with them makes me feel better too.
