Espina Posted May 11, 2009 Author Posted May 11, 2009 My father has a joint problem, he uses glucosamide sulfate.I don't know if you have heard of it. It's supposed to be the main ingredient of joints. They sell it over here without prescription.
bushido_man96 Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 I have taken it before, with chongroidant, and it never did do much for me. I don't take it anymore, but my knees have felt really good lately. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
JusticeZero Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 Presumably the same principle.Jell-o is much cheaper. "Anything worth doing is worth doing badly." - Baleia
bushido_man96 Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 Tastes better, too. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
Truestar Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 Not that I doubt your statements, but would there happen to be a good explanation of how Jell-O works? If its convincing enough, I'll make sure there's a steady supply in the house.
Espina Posted May 11, 2009 Author Posted May 11, 2009 Because I think it has the main component of cartilage
Wa-No-Michi Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 Hot bath and rest.Pain killers are fine, but I always try to avoid anything with "Aspinol" in... for obvious reasons.WNM "A lot of people never use their initiative.... because no-one told them to" - Banksyhttps://www.banksy.co.uk
Espina Posted May 11, 2009 Author Posted May 11, 2009 I don't like taking pills either, but sometimes they are good, specially if you have to continue training
sensei8 Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 Depending on the type of the injury...I will ice/heat, elevate, and/or wrap the area. The best after all of that is...plenty of REST. Especially when you're my age...51...I need all the recuperation that I can get. If the injuries more than I can handle, then I'll go to the doctor. One time I accidently stuck a kama into my right knee, I was only 16 years old. I pulled it out...screamed...bandaged it up...then wrapped it...then rode my bike home while holding my right leg as straight as I could...then I refused to go to the doctor...with enough peroxide and the like and keeping the area clean and well rebandaged...I was new as a fiddle. No, I'm not tough...I just didn't want to go to the doctor...tough?...no...stupid...but I thought it was the best thing I could ever do at the moment. **Proof is on the floor!!!
