i was wondering if anyone has an excersize to help me with forward splits... are there any seperate stretches i could work on instead of doing it directly :-? just wondering...

Not really, no... though from what I hear, you should try to use your muscles in the split as in to push yourself out of the split, and probably stretch kicks would be helpful too.

Just keep stretching. You could also look into proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF) stretching as well, to try to get you over a hump. It is a bit more involved, though, and works best with a partner.

Definitely PNF stretching. Any stretches where you are working the same muscles as you need for the splits. Also remember to work them equally, so if you work on the quads, work on the hamstrings too.

I am documenting the stretching routiene I did when I got my splits (because friends kept ASKING ME!!!) :lol:
