IIrene Posted July 15, 2008 Posted July 15, 2008 Hello Martial Artists,I think that most of you keep up your skills, outside the trainings in the dojo as well. But how do you exercise? At home or some other spots? In free nature, like the park or the beach, when the weather is nice? Can you mention a couple of good spots for exercising? Greetings,IIrene Een wapen? Is dat niet een verlengstuk van je angst?!
bushido_man96 Posted July 15, 2008 Posted July 15, 2008 I work out at home sometimes. Sometimes at the park with the kids, I'll do some forms, or push ups or pull ups on the bars, etc.Welcome to KF! https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
hawkfish Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 I have done kihon and kata many times in my back yard and in my living room too. DougShodan, Shotokan Karate & 1st Kyu, IaidoShotokanMaster.comShotokanPlanet.org

shotokanka92 Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 grocery stores?? :D “I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times.” ~ Bruce Lee
Wado-AJ Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 grocery stores?? :D haha indeed,it doesn't matter where you train. It could be anywhere. When I get up from my seat behind the computer and get a drink, my living room is standard maegeri, the walls in the hallway can expect haishu/uraken and some "special" bodymovement is done to position myself perfectly for the fridge!
TraditionalDan Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 Dojo, conservatory, and sometimes outside.I remember training on the beach one night, in a storm with heavy rain! Brighton Shotokan
The BB of C Posted July 18, 2008 Posted July 18, 2008 I like practicing best either at the school or alone at home.
hawkfish Posted July 18, 2008 Posted July 18, 2008 grocery stores?? :D Oddly enough, my son and I always used to do kumite in the grocery store. DougShodan, Shotokan Karate & 1st Kyu, IaidoShotokanMaster.comShotokanPlanet.org
