Shotokan-kez
Doesn't run in our family. Myself and brother trained together but he gave it up around 15 years ago at 4th Kyu. My son trained with me for a while but he also gave it up around 4th Kyu. So i'm the only one that reached 1st Dan and who is only actively training right now. Walk away and your always a winner. https://www.shikata-shotokan.co.uk

bushido_man96
My brother attained the rank of Junior Purple Belt in American Kenpo and my grandfather reached Brown Belt in Judo. That's cool, Patrick. I didn't realize it ran in your family as well. Have you ever considered training? https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
DWx
I think my grandad did a bit of boxing when he was in the army. In my immediate family its just me and then my sister. I think I have a second cousin who studied Karate once. "Everything has its beauty, but not everyone sees it." ~ Confucius

Patrick
I actually have my grandfather's certificate from The Samurai Judo Club of New York awarding him 5th Kyu Yellow Belt in June of 1960. I'm thinking I may scan it and post it up at some point. Patrick O'Keefe - KarateForums.com AdministratorHave a suggestion or a bit of feedback relating to KarateForums.com?
