marie curie Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 On another note, the depth of your sleep oscillates through the night. At eight hours, many people are in one of the deeper phases of sleep. If you cut it to seven & a half hours, it'll be easier to wake up and you'll feel more refreshed while having gotten less sleep.Yeh, I believe one REM cycle is around 90 min depending on the person. ShotokanKid Posted June 18, 2008 Author Posted June 18, 2008 New question:How does one know what a "full night's rest" is since we all have different sleep patterns? It seems that regardless of how much sleep I get (4 hrs, 6 hrs, 8 hrs, 10 hrs) I still get a bit drowsy sometime during the day. "What we do in life, echoes in eternity.""We must all fear evil men. Unless you have a sleeping disorder, you should be able to determine where you are in the spectrum all on your own. Experiment getting "X" amount of sleep one night and then say "X" plus 1hr on the other. Getting drowsy during the age could be due to changes in anything that's usually the 'norm' for you, age, eating habits, anything almost.Remember one important thing is also that too much sleep could make you drowsy. You just need to determine what's comfortable for you and your schedule. "Smile. Show everyone that today you're stronger than you were yesterday."
bushido_man96 Posted June 19, 2008 Posted June 19, 2008 Concentrate on setting your sleep schedule for a while. Try to get 3 weeks worth of consistent 7-8 hours of sleep. If you try to sleep 8 hours one night, and then only 5 the next, your body is never going to regulate, and you won't know what is the right amount for you. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
