February 29, 200818 yr how does someone do this? it looks crazy! how does it not hurt? I have heard of hard body conditioning, but it looks amazing! It requires a lot of painful training, focus, determination, and conditioning to the point where you could break three baseball bats and not feel it. It is an extremely cool skill.
February 29, 200818 yr It is very cool and is it quite a lot of mind over matter, as many breaks are. I do the baseball bat, well use to, i probably haven't done it for about a year. but you just make sure you have two preferably large, reliable holders, you have em hold it for their lives and have a whack at it, with your shins hopefully. i haven't seen it done any other way, so that's the way i do it. i conditioned my shins by always keeping a staff in my hand while i taught my classes and as i taught i'd whack my shins with the staff, and i'd also kick door frames. i have found door frames to be very helpful with MAs conditioning, i use it for my ridge hand as well.uhh, thats sounds like it hurts, so how does conditioning work? by killing the nerves? making the bone more dense?it doesnt really hurt...as long as you break it, you miss or it doesn't go through, it kills like heck. and yes it kills nerves and makes the bones re-calcify and what not and makes them harder. for the most part, it hardens everything the more you condition it, it's definately not too hard if you put your mind to it. the only thing is...baseball bats get expensive after a while! "Smile. Show everyone that today you're stronger than you were yesterday."
February 29, 200818 yr Author I think I am going to take up this conditioning and breaking business. there isn't a Karate school in my area, and its a pretty big town too?? so is it a good idea considering I am not in some style of karate? It looks so cool! You must become more than just a man in the mind of your opponent. -Henri Ducard

February 29, 200818 yr You see it quite often here in Okinawa. It just requires conditioning, mental focus and most importantly a good holder/swinger. Which ever you prefer!
