Geminias
I believe the title tells it all, how should I go about delivering faster kicks.I stretch a lot and I think this helps but i was wondering if anyone had anymore advice. I also cross train with a lot of swimming, i find this helps endurance as well as leg strength. Humbly,Geminias
NewEnglands_KyoSa
i would highly suggest you invest in rip cords and ankle weights. using them 3-4 times a week will get you the results you want. good luck! yingampyang
Ahh good topic , i train my students all the time on how to get quicker kicks. Its all about the retreat , after u have kicked u should bring you leg back quicker than you kick, this way you will be ready to apply an other kick , and in fact apply more damage. When you train yourself like this you will see that your kicks and leg control will be much better. I think that there is no 1 style , and that to truly become a great martial artist and person you must take information from where ever you can. bushido_man96
Set up a plyometrics program that you can do twice a week, and that will help you to build explosiveness in your kicks. There is plenty of info in the net, and you can get something going pretty quick. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
Jay
Kick Faster Plyometrics are a good idea but it really is repetition. You have to stay relaxed make sure you have stretched properly and then you can just kick without fear of hurting yourself which is actually what stops most people kicking hard. The key to everything is continuity achieved by discipline.
