Ok,

So I know this has a little bit with personal gratification, but I was hoping that someone could suggest exercises to increase the strength of my legs. I see people who can hold their legs up by their heads and stuff.

Also, I was wondering if anyone could suggest some speed drills for kicking.

Well by the sounds of it if you wish to be able to do static exercises such as holding your legs up by head then actually it is more flexibility than strength that you need. From personal experience i have more than sufficient strength to hold it there if i can get it up there. Work on your leg flexibility. Also do leg raises to build a little more strength standing leg raises ie try and get your leg to touch your shoulder.

Other strength and endurance exercises that i think are particularly good are squats with the barbell loaded up or burpees which build endurance im sure Bushido man would recommend these he used to talk about them lots .

The key to everything is continuity achieved by discipline.

I used to do the burpees, but haven't for a while. I should really start them up again, too. They are good for overall fitness levels.

For what you want, flexibility is important, along with leg strength, so make sure to work on both. You will also notice that the typical squat, leg curl, and leg extension exercises may not focus on the more "supportive" muscles that will be involved in holding up your leg like that. Doing slow leg raises and holds will also help you get used to controlling your leg up to the position, and then holding it in position. Something like hatha yoga, or even some figure skating/gymnastic exercises may be the kind of exercises that will supplement your weight training workouts to help you meet your goals.
