A-Zo
What type of cardio training do you do?My old program was this:1 day per week - 10x 300 yard sprints2 days per week - 16x 110 yard sprints1 day per week - 2.5 mile runOther days - Eliptical, VersaClimber, Bike, or Treadmill for 20 minutesNow, I haven't done this type of workout routine in a long time, and it would take me a while to get back into something this intense. But, I was wondering how this stacks up to some of your workouts. I was training for football and I figure there are better routines out there for MA and MMA. As far as lifting, I should be ok in that area. I was a personal trainer for a while and can put together a fairly decent workout. Also, if you have any other tips, let me know. Thanks again everyone. sparring gear
bushido_man96
I think you have a good thing going there. I think that maybe you should adjust your sprint running so that you do them perhaps twice per week, and then long runs perhaps 3 times a week. You will want a combination of the explosiveness that the sprinting gives you, but also the conditioning of the long runs.I think you might be surprised at how well your football workouts would serve you. If anything, you will be doing what you know, and if you meet someone who specializes in Combat Arts training, then they can tailor the workout to meet your new needs. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
