if fighting against another weapon... a knuckle duster... don't see that being effective if the other dude has a sword of any other weapon...

So what's your least favorite (in practical terms) weapon? Discuss.

Any weapon that isnt found in everyday situations, or carried by the majority of armed criminals.

The reason why bo, tonfa, nunchaku, sai etc worked well, in the time and country they were used, was because they were found in everyday situations.

The reason why swords worked well, in the time and country they were used, was because they were carried by the majority of armed criminals.

Today, the threats have changed, and the weapons you are likely to find in everyday life have changed.

Hit the sword first perhaps? :brow:

That probably wouldn't accomplish much. Especially if the weilder is skilled.

If by knuckle duster are you referring to Tekko?I was taught that the original version was two horse shoes fastened together at the sides so that they point opposite directions. They probably would still not be very effective against a skilled swordsman but they would offer more protection and better techniques against a sword than the more modern version.

well i would not want to take in a three pronged staff because it is to able to work back and hit you, its hard to use, and easy to grab

the best fight is one that doesnt happen
