Thruhiker
I am curious if anyone has sore feet due to martial arts. I have been a practitioner of MA for quite some time and the pads of my feet just throb day in and day out. They hurt the most when there isn't any weight on them. The pain is not excruciating just annoying.I would be curious to hear if others have/had the same issue. If so have you done anything about it? What was it that you did and was it affective?Thank you for your time
cross
If it causes you 2 much trouble you may consider seeing a doctor. I think that most people would have experienced soreness in their feet for the first few weeks of training, but if its a long term problem then you might have some other things that a doctor can sort out for you. kkennedy219
My friend saw a doctor about her feet, which she said would hurt for days after karate training. The doctor told her her feet needed more support and to quit going barefoot, so she got a pair of special martial arts shoes. She says they've helped a lot. Why did I have the bowl, Bart? WHY DID I HAVE THE BOWL???

You could have any number of ailments, like fallen arches or something of the sort. If your feet are hurting that much, see a doctor and find out for sure what the problem is. Hopefully, it won't be a detriment to your training. Cutting back training time may be needed as well. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
dete
before exercise make sure you think about:-not putting too much stress on the joints.-not taking the muscles & tendons to extreme.-where your increasing the flow of blood in your warmups. I also make sure in my exercise to try and evenly do the work. for example if I do a lot of jumping type exercise, then I do exercises to fortify the arch in my foot, which applies force the opposite way from jumping. http://www.freewebs.com/knife4street
Shotokan-kez
I too get sore feet sometimes but i think it's mainly due to the floor we train on. It doesn't last very long. Tonight for instance we were training on the jumps in Kata's and my feet killed afterwards. I would be tempted to go see your gp though if it's a constant thing. Walk away and your always a winner. https://www.shikata-shotokan.co.uk
bushido_man96
If you do a lot of jumping, make sure that you are not landing flat-footed. Land on the balls of your feet first, and then let the rest of your foot get to the floor. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
