cnada Posted September 17, 2007 Posted September 17, 2007 I'm supposed to practice my forms & techniques and weight-train, but I just can't seem to stay motivated. Any tips, hints, suggestions? If you're not laughin', you're not livin'!--Carlos Mencia
bushido_man96 Posted September 17, 2007 Posted September 17, 2007 Motivation is different for everyone. Sometime, I like to visualize people I don't like attempting to attack me or my family, but I usually do this when I am already training, to push myself a bit harder.Sometimes goal setting can help with motivation. Perhaps this is an approach you could take. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
AikiGuy Posted September 18, 2007 Posted September 18, 2007 The best motivation I ever found is to get a training partner. Whether you're lifting weights, jogging, or doing forms in your basement, this works great. Just find someone who wants to practice the same thing and schedule a time to get together. When your partner shows up, it forces you to train. Paranoia is not a fault. It is clarity of the world around us.
Existence_is _suffering Posted September 19, 2007 Posted September 19, 2007 Try imagining Eric Cartman screaming "Look at those jelly-rolls!" at you while eating a bag of cheesy poofs. The first person to call me mate gets a punch in the throat...
