Aces Red
I notice that whenever I do a series of pushups I can do 20-40 outside in the grass then inside 1-4in my house. Is it the surface that’s effecting my ability to do a pushup? Mind you were I trainoutside there aren’t any people watching . People are bound not by limitation, but rather by the barriers of their imagination~~ Paul White-- 2004
Menjo
Your probably mentally not focused in the comfort of indoors, and outside your body is more awake so to speak. TigerDude
Are you saying that you can do 20-40 pushups outside but only 1-4 inside? If this is true, it has to be something in your mind. If you think only of hitting, springing, striking or touching the enemy, you will not be able actually to cut him. You must thoroughly research this. - Musashi
bushido_man96
I think if you do 20-40 outside, and then go right insided to do more, it is because you are tired. However, if you are spacing them out, I don't know what to tell you. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
whitematt
20-40...? That's quite a range.I would start training on consistency. Split the difference and push out 30 EVERYTIME. Then increase from there.
A_Train
I thnk its all mental. Maybe when you're training outside you are thinking of people seeing you, and would like to impress them with more than 4 pushups.I've had similiar situations, where at home I can drop and give only 20 or so, but in the dojang during contest for fun to see who can do the most, I managed to get up to 60.I can never seem to get to 60 at home, but the competition forced me to push harder I guess. Rainbow_Warrior
Its all mental buddy . When I was in highschool, I just could do 40 push ups in my house . When my wrestling coach shouted , I could do 110 push ups and got a 2nd place in a (tiny) push up tourney.Mohamed ali said : First beat the mind , then beat everything. ´´ The evil may win a round , but not the fight ´´
NightOwl
maybe you could focus on the amount you do inside- make it a goal to do 4 reps one week, 5 the next, etc Don't hit at all if it is honorably possible to avoid hitting; but never hit soft.~Theodore Roosevelt
