KarateEd Posted July 15, 2007 Share Posted July 15, 2007 I have studied the following styles:- TSD for about 2 years waaaay back in the 1980's - Youn Wha Ryu TKD for 10 years- Kuk Sul Won for a little while (< a year)- Karate, informally for little while. When I was in JuCo, my high school had a foreign exchange student from Germany, who was Korean, and his father was the German National Coach. Working out with him was fun, and I even let him use the floor space in my school to give private lessons to a few students. Aikido was disrupted by a combination of work and school.Other than maybe Kendo, those are the only two styles that interested me. There is no martial arts without philosophy. Montana Posted July 21, 2007 Share Posted July 21, 2007 If you mean "studied", as in actually taken classes in that system, then:Shorin Ryu Matsumura Kenpo Karate/Kobudo--32 years, 7 months.(If it works for you, why take something else?)I haven't "trained" in any other systems, but I do study them. If you don't want to stand behind our troops, please..feel free to stand in front of them.Student since January 1975---4th Dan, retired due to non-martial arts related injuries.
