BlueDragon Posted August 23, 2001 Posted August 23, 2001 I want to get a Canadian flag on my shoulder and and the Habs logo on my but if they ever win the cup again. "Excuse me while I kiss the sky" -Hendrix
defenestration_girl Posted August 23, 2001 Author Posted August 23, 2001 well a tattoo on a girls foot may be sexy, (one of the reasons i got it there though.... ), but it was also v.v painfull. i personally don't like cartoony tattoos, they often look nothing like the cartoon character, and when colour fades it doesn't look very nice. my gecko is plain black, and at the moment the one on my foot is just an outline but i might be getting it shaded in with one simple colour (i wasn't sure so i left it- and it only cost £10 that way!). me x and your point is....?
defenestration_girl Posted August 23, 2001 Author Posted August 23, 2001 by the way, i thought i was immune to what they say about how if you get one tattoo, you're bound to get more.... but i was wrong, i did promise myself i wouldn't get another one, but i just really wanted another one. I think it's probably the addrenaline rush before you get it done, and the thrill that you have "another" tattoo. for some people that's what its all about. but i hope i don't get any more, i think ive got enough now, besides, there's no where really that i could get one without it being too close to the others and clashing! try not to get one where you can see it all the time, that wasy if you do regret it later, no one has to see it. mexxx and your point is....?
babysteffee Posted August 23, 2001 Posted August 23, 2001 I know what you mean about the addiction and having to get another one once you've got one...and much as I regret getting this one done...and the pain that went with it...I've on more than one occasion considered getting another. Every now and again I'll get the urge to get another...an angel on the other side of my back, to match the devil...but then something happens and I don't get it. I really could not imagine getting a tattoo on my foot...I'm not very good with pain. As it is happening that is...I recover straight away. That's probably why the tattoo hurt so much...because I felt the whole thing (which took about 45 minutes) but then as soon as he was finished, I didn't feel a thing....whereas my friend was numb after a couple of minutes but was in pain for about a week after it. Well...there's my essay for today
Prodigy-Child Posted August 31, 2001 Posted August 31, 2001 im gonna get a tattoo of a sun but im still not too sure where i am gonna get it You can boo me if you want, You know I'm right!-Chris Rock
KickChick Posted August 31, 2001 Posted August 31, 2001 If I were to get one Prodigy-Child, I would also get a tattoo of the 'sun'.... ...several people at our school went to a local parlor and I was invited to go but chickened out I think your tattoo should reflect something about you in order for you to live with it. They say to stay away from faddy cartoon characters. My girlfriend got a real nice one with the moon & stars...and in each star she had the initials of her children. I'd like to get a sun tatttoo cos' as unsafe as it is I am a sun worshipper...I get so much inner energy from it. I am a firm believer in that SAD (seasonal affective disorder) and utilize the tanning booth in the winter for light therapy...but that's a new topic isn't it??? What about tattooed names? Anyone here ever had one or one removed. My husband has mine on his arm (its 24 years old)! Deby
Joecooke007 Posted December 24, 2001 Posted December 24, 2001 I want a black dragon on my left shoulder :brow: Boards don't hit back. -Bruce Lee
pooh bear Posted March 24, 2002 Posted March 24, 2002 I have three tattoos. One angel on my back shoulder blade, one heart with my baby's name in it (on the small of my back) and a rose on my ankle. I love my tattoos and I am not done getting them. My husband has 60 tattoos! I just need one more :pony:
Bon Posted March 24, 2002 Posted March 24, 2002 No, I don't think I'll be getting a tatoo... For a couple of weeks I thought a barb wire tat would look hardcore on one of my arms, but I figured I'd need at least 15 inch biceps for it to really stand out and I'd only regret it later. I was just an impulse at the moment that I felt like one. It takes sacrifice to be the best. There are always two choices, two paths to take. One is easy. And its only reward is that it's easy.
YODA Posted March 24, 2002 Posted March 24, 2002 Hey Bon Just work on those 15 inch Biceps and forget the tat.
