Some of the best schooling I received came from a blue belt who knew how to teach. But then as you begin to roll, you will begin to be able to hang with folks the next belt up. Maybe not beat, but hang with and catch every blue moon. For an excellent example of expectations for promotion, check out Roy Harris's site. Top notch.
