MrBanky Posted May 27, 2007 Author Posted May 27, 2007 Oh, well I believe I already have that. I have a heavy canvas Everlast bag.
bushido_man96 Posted May 27, 2007 Posted May 27, 2007 There you go! Remember, if you are going to do some serious striking, wear gloves, and wrap the hands. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
Athena Posted June 1, 2007 Posted June 1, 2007 errrm..swing the punching bag and hit when the bag is still coming towards you (was actually hard for me to do at first XD ) err >.> *slips out* Strike first. 'Til then i will not fight you. Everytime someone calls JKD a style, Bruce turns over. Why do I love Bruce Lee? Not because he was an awesome martial artist- but because his train of thought overlapped with mine even before I knew about him. Thank you karate forums, for introducing me to Bruce Lee
TheRenegade Posted June 20, 2007 Posted June 20, 2007 Get back into training. Forget about all the exercise tips you may read, until you are learning how to punch. You hopefully already know that technique is what makes a good punch. Your punch will never improve more from anything than proper training. Is there a boxing gym near you?

Is there a boxing gym near you?hitting a punching bag countless of times doesnt make your punching better, it could make your fist stronger though.proper technique can give you more power than just using your intention to hit <> Be humble, train hard, fight dirty
bushido_man96 Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 Striking a punching bag is great for punching. If it was not, the boxers wouldn't spend as much time as they do on them. They will help your power, as long as you work them properly. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
