french fri25
if you had a choice of anything to wear to training, what would it be and why?i would wear my dobok any day because it is comfortable and represents my art and my school.
cross
Shorts and T-shirt. Its what i normally wear and feel most comfortable in. Doesnt make sense to me to train in a gi when the only time you would be found wearing one is in the training hall.
bushido_man96
I would workout in a variety of different clothings, so that I can get a different feeling each time I work out. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
ps1
I chose other. Because I think it's good to wear a large variety of clothes. In the training hall I wear my gi, when we train outside I dress appropriate to the weather and wear shoes/boots, plus we have no-gi days where you wear shorts and a t-shirt. DWx
For me its more about how the clothes allow me to move. My dobok has been specifically designed for a range of leg and arm movements whilst my jeans were not so I would probably choose to wear a dobok if I had the choice. But like everyone else said its important to know how different materials are going to allow you to move. If I ever had to defend myself I would be more likely to be wearing jeans or other non-sport clothes. There's also the issue of what shoes will let you move too. JackCrevalle
On a whole, I'd rather wear a Japanese crossover style gi than my vee-neck dobak.

cnada
I normally wear my dobok, but every so often, we train in normal clothes. If you're not laughin', you're not livin'!--Carlos Mencia
DisgruntledGirl
Though I am really just starting out, I prefer to wear the gi oddly enough just so I dont have to think about what I am going to wear that night... its already picked out and ready to go. Also because when you go to the gym etc all you see is women trying to outdo each other with how little clothing they can get by with... I like the gi cus I am and everyone else is pretty well covered up.Its also more warm than anything else I own, just putting it on makes me break a sweat, so I'd imagin that that would increase the effectiveness of the workout to some small degree. lordtariel
I actually like wearing just the gi pants and a t shirt unless we were grappling, in which case I prefer the full gi. However, when I put on the gi, it's kind of like a subtle reminder that I'm here to train, and train hard. There's no place like 127.0.0.
