Fish
Can anybody suggest something to toughen up the soles of my feet? They're really sore from training bare foot! DancingSteve
It will come with time. I returned to training months ago and I still have sore feet days. Some are better than others. But the toughness is coming back. Tape the sore spots. If you have some rubs that are raw, otherwise. Walk around barefoot a lot and you'll eventually become desensitized to all the little prickly pains. I come to you with only karate. My hands are empty, but I fear no man. bushido_man96
DancingSteve is right. Your feet will calous in time. Just take care of them, and keep 'em clean. You can get some stuff called mole skin to cover areas that may blister, for when you wear your shoes. There is also some fake skin stuff that you can get, as well, that adds a protective layer of skin to your feet. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
DWx
Soak 'em in surgical spirits. It causes the skin to dry and harden on the outside. I do this sometimes as it is a less painful way of toughening skin. "Everything has its beauty, but not everyone sees it." ~ Confucius
dragonwarrior_keltyr
What others have said. I'm a big lover of bare feet and as soon as the snow's gone, so are my shoes I've never had a problem with soft feet, mine are probably too hard if anything! Walk around barefoot, and train barefoot and it will come with time. External training without the training of the mind is nothing

Fish
Thanks Bushidoman. Might give those a try if my feet continue to be sore. Perhaps I just need to go barefoot outside class as well. baronbvp
I got tired of hard, caloused feet and so did my wife. So I started training in shoes and I love them: http://www.karatedepot.com/cl-sh-09.html Only as good as I make myself be, only as bad as I let myself be.Martial arts are like kinetic chess.
