dippedappe Posted March 4, 2007 Posted March 4, 2007 Hi. I've been playing a lot of computer for a long while without doing any exercise, and as surprised as I was, I gained a little weight from it .A small stomach has formed and it's a bit embarrassing. Theres this girl I've begun to have naughty thoughts about, and I don't want this body to ruin my chances. I've been thinking about doing MA again, but don't have time for it yet, so I need a faster solution. I gotta do it at home, before school or after. How do I remove this monster on my belly quickly? And what is the best and fastest approach to gaining a little muscle?
obiwansbane Posted March 5, 2007 Posted March 5, 2007 no clue how to lose the weight, but as for the muscle, what happens is your fibres tear apart, and then use protein to create more. So on the "down" motion (back to where u started) go slowly to tear as many fibres as possible, MAKE SURE U EAT HEALTHY AND EAT LOTS OF PROTEIN, building muscle is like 70% eating 30% actually doing the stuff... hope it helps even if just a little, good luck with ure lady friend Brown belt... win trophies... grade... lose trophies... so much fun
Ace2021 Posted March 5, 2007 Posted March 5, 2007 To get your gut down, lots of Cardio. Burn those calories! Good exercises would be running, jogging, and rope skipping. For the muscle it depends how bulked up you want to be. A lot, then i'd advise extensive weight training. A little, and some oldschool stuff like pressups, situps, dumb bells. If you want abs, remember you have to get rid of all the belly fat. You can have rock hard abs, but if there's fat over your stomach no one will see them. A New Age Dawns
TigerDude Posted March 5, 2007 Posted March 5, 2007 Losing weight & buildign muscle are two things. Building muscle takes eating. Losing weight generally means not eating so much. The posts above describe how to lose & build, but I think you will have trouble doing both. If you think only of hitting, springing, striking or touching the enemy, you will not be able actually to cut him. You must thoroughly research this. - Musashi
JackCrevalle Posted March 5, 2007 Posted March 5, 2007 Tiger dude is correct, you are working at cross purposes when you are both trying to lose weight and gain muscle. It is possible, and even necessary to try to do both at the same time since by trying to lose weight you cannot avoid losing muscle. You will not see the same type of muscle gains you would by just exercise alone however. The good news is that your weight loss will be accelerated slightly because you will be burning calories and the added muscle/activity will raise your metabolism.Your best hope for losing weight lies in reducing calories, not in just exercise. It takes the equivalent of 5000 calories to equal a pound. As a comparison that is the number of calories you would lose if you rode a bicycle for 100 miles. Or, as someone put it, you can run a mile or just not eat french fries at lunch.Doing exercise at 80% of your cardio heart rate is also more effective at burning calories than doing exercise at your cardio rate.

Diet and exercise both will help.If you split your routines, I think you can do both. Lift in the moring, and do cardio at night. Between 20 and 45 minutes of cardio a day will help. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
dippedappe Posted March 5, 2007 Author Posted March 5, 2007 Thanks everyone. I got what I needed I think, and a lot of info I didn't understand I had never heard of cardio until you guys mentioned it, and I still havent intirely figured out what it is I will be doing when I do cardio. I found a wepsite with info about it, but the info there seemed a bit useless to me.

Running, skipping rope, etc. are all good ways to get some cardio in. By the way, how do you like ninjitsu? Don't hit at all if it is honorably possible to avoid hitting; but never hit soft.~Theodore Roosevelt
learning kempo-karate Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 Hello, Eating too much is a bad habit. Everyone also needs to do some excerise, daily. Want to lose weight simple just eat less food and a more healty diet.Even walking for 30 minutes or more every day will help. It takes DISCIPLINE...SELF-CONTROL...can you do it!Best way is not to crash diet, and use self-controls, set goals and a little bit of excerise everyday. (30 minutes or more).Your mind needs the self-control before anything else (JUST DO IT)...!!!Bad habits or any habits are hard to change....the best way is with a NEW habit to replace the old one.IF you cheat? ....than you lose again....Cheating is easy to do....BE HONEST! ...if you want to look great again!Off-course it is hard work....THE best things in life comes from hard work...Aloha

Running, skipping rope, etc. are all good ways to get some cardio in. By the way, how do you like ninjitsu?Great, that helped. I a walking for 15-30 minutes everyday, from school to the buss. And a lot of stairs in the school, but still I've managed to gain weight. It's not a whole lot of weight. a small stumach, but it's there none the less.About the Ninjutsu. I only tried it two times and then stopped. I havent bothered to change it yet. The only thing the dude would teach me was Taijutsu, the selfdefense part of Ninjutsu, and that wasn't exactly what I was looking for. I wanted to learn all the aspects of Ninjutsu (more or less). Sword fighting, stealth training and stuff like that. This dude couldn't teach me that so I stopped. I really want to try Ninjutsu from a real teacher, but then I would have to travel a great distance everytime I want to go to practice. Atm I dont see that as a possibility.Again. Thanks all for the help.
